The Alpine GTA (for Gran Tourisme Alpine, no link with GTA VI) went on sale in 1985. It was one of the last models produced by the Dieppe-based manufacturer. It features the classic Alpine elements: a rear engine and a sports car design (a chassis on which a synthetic shell is fitted). The V6 Turbo version develops 200bhp thanks to the famous turbocharged V6 PRV. The GTA V6 Turbo is the most popular model, with 4,591 of the 6,494 Alpine GTAs produced.
