Renault 17 Bleu N°42 Pouchelon - Dorangeon Rally Abidjan Nice 1976

The Abidjan - Nice Rally (also called Ivory Coast - French Riviera Rally) is one of the main inspirations for the future Paris - Dakar. Here, motorcycles and cars compete for the final victory. The first edition, organized in 1975-76 by Jean-Claude Bertrand (creator of the Rallye de Côte d'Ivoire), saw a third of its competitors reach the finish, and it was a 4x4 that won. The following year, the "cars" rebelled and it was an R12 that won! In fourth place, we find the Renault 17 of Christian Pouchelon.
