The Opel Manta 400R was the German manufacturer's response to Group B regulation in rallying. With an estimated power of 340 horsepower, transmitted to the rear wheels, it required very courageous pilots. The Opel was entrusted to Ari Vatanen, Jimmy McRae, Guy Frequelin, or Henri Toivonen who brought the car to the 4th place of the Rally of San Remo in 1983. The record of the Opel Manta in competition is without equal with 235 victories and 612 podiums. Even now there are still certain units running in historical races.
