Cédric Robert made his rally debut in 1991 with a Simca Rallye 2, then entered the "Fiat Cinquecento" single-brand trophy in the little Italian car. He then won the Volant Peugeot in 1998. He started the new century with Peugeot Sport's latest car, the 106 Maxi. At the wheel of this car, he took 5th place in the Rallye d'Antibes - Rallye d'Azur 2000. He also won his class (A6), which is his best result in the French and European Championships with this 106 Maxi. A car appreciated by rally fans but which was not able to compete with the other Kitcars of the era (Clio, Mégane, Xsara, ...).
