Volvo 850 T-5R Cream Yellow 1996

In the 1990s, Volvo sought to rejuvenate and energize its brand image. In 1992, the 850 was launched, and its success was immediate. The sedan featured four major innovations: a transverse 5-cylinder engine, a Delta-Link rear axle (a Volvo design), a Side Impact Protection System (SIPS), and the very first front seatbelt with automatic adjustment. In 1994, sportiness was in vogue with the T5, which produced 225 horsepower. But the following year, Volvo went even further with the T5-R! This extreme version produced 240 horsepower, and in its famous “Cream Yellow” color, it definitely did not go unnoticed. The 850 T5-R thus became the most iconic model of the Swedish manufacturer, both as a sedan and as a wagon.
