The second-generation Polo appeared on the market in 1982. The "ant", as the ad was saying, would be transformed into a compact little sports car two years later with the arrival of the G40. This version took its name from the G40 engine developed by Volkswagen. This is a lighter version of the G60 designed for motor racing. The G40 offers 116hp for a displacement of 1272 cm3. Enough to allow the little German ant to easily reach 196km/h!
